Cuchullain (Koo-Hoo-Linn): Celtic Hero and the main character of this story, Ireland's finest fighter and said to have special power. His original name was Setanta.
Culen (Kuu-Lenn): A "Smith" who owned a hound that was accidentally slain by our hero who offered to look after his business whilst raising a hound to take over guarding duty once he was finished (It's through Culen that our hero gets the name of Cuchullain)
